Ezwim Business Intelligence automates invoice validation, price plan analysis, price plan optimisation, what-if analysis and provides an extensive analysis up to the call detail level.

Amsterdam, May 12, 2010 – Ezwim, a leading vendor of telecom management cloud services, today announced the availability of Ezwim Business Intelligence. The first service that will give companies of all sizes, cost effective and timely access to automated operator invoice validation, price plan optimisation, price plan analysis and “what-if” analysis; typically only available to large corporations willing to invest thousands of Euros and months into the analysis and optimisation of their telecom costs.

Ezwim Business Intelligence is a powerful billing engine that contains up-to-date price plans of multiple operators and supports automated uploads of historical billing data direct from the operator’s website. Product features include validating an operator invoice on a call detail record level; this helps companies to make better-informed decisions by demonstrating the financial impact of different scenarios, for example: switching to different operator price plans, supplying local SIM cards to frequent travelers etc. Ezwim Business Intelligence offers companies an in-depth understanding as to whether they are on the best operator price plans and ensures they are not overpaying on their telecom services.

Key characteristics and benefits of Ezwim Business Intelligence include:

Advanced and in-depth analysis – The product provides the ability to audit telecom activity against the operator’s price plan, through invoice validation, price plan optimisation and what-if scenarios. The analysis offers insight into all associated telecom costs, and levels ranging from an aggregation level, CLI/user level, to the detail of every call record.

Price plan handling and invoice upload – Ezwim Business Intelligence has the capacity to handle complex billing types, such as: bundles, subscriptions, start-tariffs, flat fee, adjustments and credits etc. The electronic operator invoice can be uploaded manually or automatically.

All telecom services – The rerating feature supports all types of telecom services, including wireless, fixed voice, wholesale.

Global capability – The product is proficient in handling electronic invoices from all major operators globally.

Integrated platform – Ezwim Business Intelligence uses the same application platform and databases available to other Ezwim products allowing for a seamless and integrated service.

Cloud service and on-demand delivery – Ezwim Business Intelligence is securely available through the Internet and can be operational in 2 weeks.

Powerful sales tool for operators, telecom consultants, MVNO’s and resellers – The automated creation of business cases, which is a comparison based on actual usage and up-to-date price plans, will identify and affirm the financial benefit of one operator vs. another.

“Ezwim has built into their platform a robust tool giving their clients the results and details needed to optimise their price plans globally,” said Terry Suttles, Senior Partner of Value Sourcing Group and former Group Consulting Vice President of META Group Consulting. “This is paramount to any deep analysis and achieving overall savings. What has traditionally been a very complex, manual process for enterprise clients can now be done on a regular scheduled basis allowing for maximised savings year over year.”

“With Ezwim Business Intelligence, Ezwim fills a gap in the telecom management market,” said Hein Remmen, Product Manager of Ezwim. “Traditional tools do not offer the depth of analysis that Ezwim does. The product does not only check if the operator invoice is correct it is also capable of calculating the impact of changing rate plans, switching to an alternative carrier etc. This allows enterprises to optimise telecom and save money, I believe Ezwim Business Intelligence will fundamentally change the way companies manage their telecommunications.”

“Properly managing telecom costs has become a top priority for an increasing number of organisations,” said Ron van Valkengoed, Managing Director of Ezwim. “With Ezwim Business Intelligence, companies gain access to the most advanced telecom Business Intelligence tooling available in the market today enabling companies to take control over their relationship with operators.”

Availability
Ezwim Business Intelligence will be available for both current and new customers of Ezwim on May 15 2010.

International expansion and product innovation drives growth

Amsterdam, April 1, 2010 – Ezwim, a leading vendor of telecom management cloud services, today announced its results for 2009.

The company experienced its seventh year in a row of double digit growth; for 2009 Ezwim reported Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) growth of 25% in enterprise sales compared to 2008.
Ezwim indicates as key growth drivers:

Sales acceleration; new business through direct sales and through channel partners. Ezwim experienced over 70% growth in international sales; Ezwim’s strong international growth reflects the increase in customer demand for global solutions.

Product leadership; in 2009 Ezwim announced its integrated suite of telecom management cloud services allowing customers to get instant visibility into detailed telecom parameters across the enterprise and enabling them to optimise telecom and service management. Ezwim’s telecom management platform allows for a seamless service delivery; Ezwim customers can realize the benefits of cloud services like being operational in 2 weeks, no dependency on enterprise resources, and no CapEx.

Growth in international partnerships. In 2009 Ezwim announced a major partnership with Dallas-based TAG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent, that specialises in the procurement of telecom services.

“The growth demonstrates the increased market demand for telecom management services to help enterprises control telecom costs,” says Ron van Valkengoed, Managing Director of Ezwim. “Ezwim is the European market leader and has more devices under management than any other vendor; we are confident that we will continue our growth in 2010.”

Industry analysts recognised Ezwim’s services in 2009. Ezwim received a “Promising” rating in Gartner’s “Marketscope for Telecom Expense Management.”

In 2010 Ezwim will continue to focus on organic growth through direct sales and global strategic partnerships, and inorganic growth through acquisitions. The company announced the acquisition of Simmplus, provider of telecom lifecycle management (BPO) services, earlier this year.

Amsterdam, March 25, 2010 – Ezwim, a leading vendor of telecom management cloud services, today announced the acquisition of Simmplus, a privately-held company based in Amsterdam and provider of telecom lifecycle management (BPO) services. Financial details were not disclosed. The acquisition further strengthens Ezwim’s capabilities in supporting global companies with leading business process outsourcing and business intelligence solutions to manage their telecommunications.

Simmplus offers its clients a comprehensive telecom lifecycle management service that includes consulting services as well as a well defined portfolio of managed services. All services are geared towards improving enterprise telecom management, optimizing the end user service experience; while at the same time lowering operational cost by automating processes and introducing self service.

“We are excited to be joining Ezwim,” said Jurriaan Roeland, Managing Director of Simmplus. ”We have been one of Ezwim’s key partners for years. Nothing is more important to us than to provide our customers a strong telecom management service; the combination of Simmplus services and experience together with the Ezwim cloud computing software suite allows for the industry leading telecom management proposition.”

“The rationale for the Simmplus acquisition is Ezwim’s strategic commitment to become the global telecom expense management market leader and our need to secure competence and capability in support of the high growth we are experiencing,“ said Ron van Valkengoed, Managing Director of Ezwim. “We will continue to execute our buy-and-build strategy to realize our vision of becoming the dominant market player. I welcome the Simmplus team to Ezwim.”

New release provides an integrated telecom management service with unique business intelligence capabilities

Amsterdam, October 7, 2009 – Ezwim, a leading global provider of Telecom Management Services for enterprises and operators, today announced the availability of Release 10 of its Total Telecom Management (TTMTM) services. The new release brings together all elements of a professional telecom management service and enables customers to access spend, inventory and service management information.
“Implementing a telecom management solution has become a critical business strategy for enterprises to manage and optimize telecom resources,” says Ron van Valkengoed, Managing Director of Ezwim. “With Release 10 Ezwim sets a new standard in telecom management services. We give our customers access to an integrated platform rather than to a stovepipe application; our service gets our customers started with professional telecom management in weeks rather than months.”

Budget reports display users who have exceeded their budget with filter search features. Additionally split cost per user offers better insight into private / business cost for telecom users.

State of the art user interface and usability – Release 10 features a completely redesigned user interface and improved navigation. The optimized user experience and performance ensures a reliable and productive experience for our users. Improved metrics and analytics enable sound decision making. Release 10 supports Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera, Firefox and Safari on both PC and Mac.

Security, data protection & privacy – Ezwim has full compliance to the EU’s strict data protection and privacy directive and to local fiscal and privacy regulations. Its upcoming ISO 27001 certification is a key differentiator in the market.

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) – Through Ezwim’s SOA architecture, customers access inventory, spend and service management information directly from their own internal applications. Standard API’s for the most relevant Telecom entities are available.

“We want our customers to experience the success possible with premium Telecom Management Services,” said Hein Remmen, Product Manager of Ezwim. “We help our customers to reduce their telecom spend and optimize their telecom resources.

Partnership enables U.S. based organizations to gain control over rapidly increasing global wireless communication costs

(DALLAS, Texas) September 14, 2009 – As if the recession wasn’t bad enough … the iPhone, Blackberry and other mobile devices are chipping away at corporate bottom lines.

Multi-nationals are overspending millions because management of international based mobiles is perceived as just too complicated.

According to TAG, a U.S.-based telecom expense management company with Fortune 500 clients, several factors are to blame:

The rapid unmonitored proliferation of mobile phones as a business device … with companies lacking a centralized tool to evaluate and control costs

Personal use on corporate mobile devices is more common than ever

Data (texts, e-mail, downloads between and to devices) is a growing cost category

Overages occur for multiple billing periods unchecked or uncorrected

Privacy laws, worker unions, language barriers, and currency conversions add to the complexity

TAG founder and CEO Dieter Thompson says U.S. multinationals have been slow to react to the growing problem. “Wireless technology is nothing new to the enterprise, but tracking the expenses of those technologies has become more challenging as wireless devices have evolved from simple text and voice services to enterprise computing assets,” Thompson explains.

But a joint effort between TAG and Netherlands-based global telecom leader Ezwim is ready to solve that problem by offering U.S.-based multinationals a service that European companies have successfully used for the last decade.

“The basic problem that multinationals face is that it is hard for them to understand and manage their total cost of mobile communications,” said Ron van Valkengoed, CEO of Ezwim.

“In Western Europe many multinationals are seeing the benefit of central management of telecommunications as complexity is growing and the Ezwim services were developed to provide them with a truly global service. It addresses their need of insight and control of telecommunications with advanced reporting and management tools while being in compliance with local regulation around data protection, security and fiscal aspects. We are very proud of our partnership with TAG. The Ezwim Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offers TAG’s customers the best service in terms of functionality, usabilility, performance and TCO,” van Valkengoed adds.

Recent study, historical data validates findings
A 2009 Aberdeen study sponsored by TAG validates the historical data TAG and EZWIM have collected in their case studies, as well as their general findings regarding wireless expense management.

According to the study, “Mobile services are becoming increasingly complicated. As the cell phone has transformed into a smart phone, new sets of services are available that were not before on previous bills.

These services can include location based services (LBS), mobile data connections, mobile applications, photo capabilities, and mobile messaging capabilities. As these charges have joined the already-numerous line items related to domestic voice, long distance, international roaming, text messaging, phone features, and related taxes and surcharges, wireless invoices have steadily grown in their size and scope.”

“TAG mobility expert David Schofield agrees that U.S. multinationals are missing an opportunity to save millions of dollars and maintain those savings. “What used to be a very time consuming and painstaking process puts each region on a single reporting platform, and is made easy with a centralized technology solution implementing ISO 27001 for information security,” he explains. “We are really excited about the potential of our relationship with Ezwim to mirror the success and savings European-based corporations have realized the last several years. Clients start saving with this solution and manage to avoid going back in time by keeping this solution in place through operational management excellence.”

About TAG
Dallas-based TAG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent, specializes in the procurement of telecommunications services including voice, data, wireless, internet, local, and international services for national and multi-national companies. TAG’s mission is to provide its clients with a maximum return for their telecommunications investment.

New and extended customer contracts, international partnerships and product innovation drives growth

Amsterdam, September 8, 2009 – Ezwim, a leading global provider of Telecom Management Services for operators and enterprises, today announced its results for the first half of 2009.

The company experienced organic growth of over 30 percent compared to the Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) in the first half of 2008; profitability in excess of 30 percent.

Ezwim indicates as key growth drivers:

28 new and extended customer contracts.

Strong uptake of Ezwim’s Telecom Expense Management (TTM™ , MNC™) and Telecom Service Management (TSM™) services to help global enterprises to manage telecommunications effectively around the world.

International partnerships; new partners include the largest billing service provider in the Middle East and a large global network integrator.

Ezwim is the European telecom management market leader and has more devices under management in Europe, directly and indirectly through partners using its tool, than any other vendor; this was recently confirmed by a leading industry analyst report.

Strong increase of international revenue reflects Ezwim’s ability to deliver telecom management services across the world; the Software-as-a-Service offering offers the most complete and user-friendly telecom management services in the industry. Ezwim enables enterprises to centrally control costs and drive service excellence through process automation across the organization. Customers enjoy the benefits of Software-as-a-Service, which includes: implementation in weeks, low total cost of ownership with no upfront investment and excellent performance covered by SLA’s. Ezwim has full compliance to Europe’s strict data protection and privacy regulations, and local regulations with regards to VAT and private and business cost allocation. Its upcoming ISO 27001 certification is a key differentiator in the market.

“Strong organic growth is a tremendous accomplishment in this tough economy,” says Ron van Valkengoed CEO of Ezwim. ”Our success is a tribute to our ability to deliver high and sustainable value to our clients as we enable enterprises to manage their telecommunications effectively across the world; we are confident that we will continue our growth.”

Ezwim will continue to focus on organic growth through direct sales and global strategic partnerships, and inorganic growth through acquisitions.

According to the Gartner report, “2009 and 2010 will be breakout years, as companies based in Western Europe, with assets and expenses within that region, start to adopt TEM services in greater numbers.”

“We believe there is a growing need for TEM services in Europe, says Ron van Valkengoed, Managing Director of Ezwim. “Ezwim is the European market leader and has more devices under management in Europe than any other vendor; we are in a strong position to benefit from the growth in Europe in 2009 and 2010. In my opinion, Gartner’s “Promising” rating and our strong roots in Europe strengthen our believe that we will continue to build on our leading position.”
