Roel de Hoop
Roel de Hoop is a general partner at the investment fund Prime Technology Ventures, which he joined in 1999. Mr. de Hoop has been a successful entrepreneur in the Internet and software industries, with expertise in international sales and marketing. He founded Hot-Orange in 1998 and was CEO of this company. Prior to Hot-Orange he joined the Dutch-based software company Prolin as a partner in 1992. As senior vice president for strategic alliances and co-owner, he played a significant role in the successful acquisition of Prolin by Hewlett-Packard in 1997. Mr. de Hoop began his career with Driessen Aircraft Interior Systems, the market leader in the manufacturing and sales of aircraft catering equipment. Since the acquisition of Prolin by HP, Mr. de Hoop acts as an investor and coach of technology start-up companies, actively supporting their expansion.
Mr. de Hoop holds a BA degree in Business Administration, currently serving on the board of Q-Go and Human Inference. He is actively involved with Prime Technology Ventures since 1999 and joined the EZWIM advisory board in 2004.
