Dr. Alexander “Sasha” Galitsky

Dr. Alexander Galitsky is an internationally renowned entrepreneur and investor with executive strategic and operational experience in the USA, Russia and Western Europe.

During the Soviet time, Alexander was the youngest top technical executive in the Russian defense industry, his responsibilities included the low orbit data communication systems for the Soviet “Star Wars” response.

During the 1990s he founded four successful innovative technology companies. He pioneered for example with Sun Microsystems and ELVIS+ in WiFi technology as well as the commercial implementation of FW/VPN products for global market. With his company TrustWorks he became “Technology Pioneer” of the Davos World Economic Forum 2000. Dr. Galitsky has authored over a hundred international publications and has over 30 inventions and patents on his name. He’s been a featured speaker at numerous international conferences and has been interviewed and profiled in many publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes ASAP, The New York Times, Financial Times, The San Jose Mercury News, amongst others.

Since 2004 Alexander has been involved in the investment community. He was Venture Partner of the Russian Technology Fund. His private investments include companies like EzWIM, SWsoft/Parallels, StartTelecom, S-Terra. He is a member of the Advisory Board for PGP Inc, SWsoft and Acronis. In 2007 he founded the American/Russian based VC fund – Almaz Capital Partners.
He holds a PhD from joint authority of Defense Research Institute and MIPT in Moscow.
